Version 4.9.2

  • Parameterized filtering of reports in manuals and online - Users portrayed that there is a problem in reusing a basically equal reporting definition. Though just the filtering was different, the whole report had to be copied and saved with the differing filter. This was time-consuming and changes in the structure of a sample report had to be rolled out manually to all copies. Reports may now be used with dynamic filters in manuals. Filtering is now defined for each chapter as parameters for existing reports. So repeating reporting definitions that differ just in filtering is unnecessary. Reports may be reused repeatedly. Already defined filters of a report are supplemented with the dynamic filters (means combined by AND). In addition the parameters may be used with the report invocations URI. Using the new reports is also possible in the assistants.
  • Easier release of reports – reports can be relased up to the highest layer directly by a new function. The so far necessesary explicit release for each layer may be skipped now, so releasing is much easier and faster, if a report shall be shared for all Users (which is most common). This function is a lookahead of the changed, workflow-based release of reports in future versions.
  • Detailed representation of linked resources in manuals – Until now, contents of linked objects were represented rudimentary. Processes were portrayed as simple lists. Master Data that was integrated directly in manuals was portrayed as short texts for each linked Object. Now it is possible to represent objects with all of their values. Reports can be defined to contain the desired resources, which may be linked multiple times with the objects to be represented. Processes are displayed verbosely even without explicit configuration. In this case, it is possible to define Master Data by type, if they are to be contained in a single representation or in a report.
  • Optional Positioning of userdefined texts in manuals – While defining the manual it is now possible to assign the position of text entered by the online-editor. Use switches to place the text below (default up to now) or, if desired, above the content of the chapter.
  • Entering text while using assistents – Now it is possible to use a new function to enter free texts (up to 256 chars) while using assistents. Use this function e.g. to parameterize filters later in an assistent.
